4 ways and precautions for protein purification
Introduction to the Four Ways of Protein Purification
Protein purification research has been around for a long time and has a history of more than 200 years. Scientists started with the simplest precipitation procedure, and after the efforts of all leaders and the continuous improvement of technology, there are many ways to carry out protein purification research [1], and the application of related technologies in various fields is also becoming more and more mature. At present, in the field of biochemistry, research experts mainly use salting-out method, colloid filtration method, ion exchange method, and affinity chromatography to purify protein [2] The following will briefly introduce these four methods and their characteristics.

What should be paid attention to during protein purification research?
Parameters such as temperature control, pH value and buffer selection are the first steps in protein purification studies. For protein purification, cells must be lysed first, but after cell lysis, the protein sample will become fragile, and if the sample is placed in a high temperature or extreme low temperature environment, it will denature and lose its activity. Therefore, the samples should be handled in a suitable temperature environment [7], so as not to affect the experimental results.
