Hopax Fine Chemicals is the fine chemicals division of Taiwan Hopax Chemicals Mfg. Co. Ltd., a global leader in the manufacturing of fine chemicals, specialty chemicals and self-adhesive paper products.
Hopax was founded in 1975 and is headquartered in Kaohsiung City, the most important industrial area of Taiwan.
We currently employ about 1,400 people in our 4 factories in Taiwan, China and Indonesia.
We are specialized in organic synthesis using alkylsulfonation and cationization reactions. Our expertise helps our partners on bringing a product from lab to large scale production.
Hopax's ISO 9001 certified sites are often audited and qualified by some of the world's largest companies in the fields of life sciences, surface treatment and Li-ion batteries.
Our products

Our locations
Hopax’s headquarters are located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where most of our fine chemicals are manufactured. In addition to this plant, the Changshu factory, in China, serves as a complementary base to support our production and R&D needs.
Hopax's facilities in Kunshan (China) and Surabaya (Indonesia) are the production centers for self-adhesive paper products and specialty chemicals, respectively.
