Since EU Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, commonly known as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) entered into force on 1^st June 2007, HOPAX has been engaging in following the related laws and regulations as well as the timelines for pre-registering and registering its chemicals. In early 2010, HOPAX formally established its REACH team, which is responsible for all the communication with the clients in the EU markets and the Only Representative (OR), TÜV SÜD Iberia S.A.U., as per the latest regulations, to ensure REACH compliance from time to time.

By the end of 2011, HOPAX has done the pre-registration for all its chemicals products. To date, 10 of its fine chemical products have been registered based on the tonnages of 100-1000 tons, 10-100 tons and 1-10 tons, and one chemical, called 1,3-Propane Sultone (or, “1,3-PS” for short), is still in process of registration and expected to be done before the end of 2019.
