Hopax is a manufacturer and supplier of MOPSO (CAS 68399-77-9), a zwitterionic biological buffer often used as a buffering agent in biological and biochemical research.

Uses of MOPSO Buffer:

  • This Good's Buffer is commonly used as a carrier electrolyte in capillary electrophoresis.
  • Researchers have been using it as a lysis and enzyme assay buffer.
  • Other applications of Mopso include spectrophotometry, fluorescence spectroscopy and isothermal titration calorimetry.
  • Since Mopso interacts with the peptide backbone of bovine serum albumin (BSA), it is used for the stabilization of BSA against thermal denaturation.
